The Orange Line: 2023 Holiday Train Exhibit

The Lazarus department store holiday window displays were extravagant winter worlds in miniature, featuring trains, and other festive decorations created for the flagship store Downtown. Inspired by that tradition, CFAD again presents a contemporary take on the holiday train display.
This year we invite architects, landscape architects, designers, students, and community members to join in as we collectively contemplate possibilities for the Columbus street-scape to better integrate mass transit. As we explore the connection between future mass transit initiatives and the pedestrian, CFAD announces our 2023 theme:
Enhancing Columbus Streets: Mass Transit and the Pedestrian
Up to 15 participating teams may purchase a 12”x18” plot along the train line – to display their design to enhance Columbus streets for mass transit and pedestrians.
Models will be constructed with all white Lego™ bricks (clear for glass is acceptable) – no shorter than 24” and no taller than 48”. Lego™ sets to be used for your model are available at CFAD to be picked up, or can be delivered to your firm. Please plan to join us at CFAD for an opening reception to celebrate the unveiling on Thursday, November 30th, from 5:30-7:30pm.
