About Design Pop!

Design Pop! offers engaging activities for aspiring young designers. Students in grades 3-8 are invited to attend our Elementary and Middle School sessions. Workshops are led by energetic volunteers from local design firms and organizations.

Students are welcome to drop in anytime during our Open Workshop programs hours. These workshops offer multiple themed activities.

Mark your calendar and visit this page often, as programs are updated throughout the year! Program registration opens one month before each event.

Hours/Location

What are the hours of the workshops?

Programs typically begin at 10 am with flexible drop-off 30 minutes before the program begins and pick-up 30 minutes after it ends. 

Where will programs take place?

The Center for Architecture and Design will host a number of our programmed events, but some programs may be held at other locations around the Columbus metro area. Check back often to confirm the program location. 

Lunch

Do participants need to provide their own lunch?

Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch. Water and a light snack will be available.

NOTE: Refrigeration will not be provided.

Staff

Who will be overseeing my child during the workshop?

Depending on the program one or more CFAD members will be present for each workshop event. CFAD members go through training and are required to obtain both BCI and FBI background checks. Once registered for an event parents will be provided with the name, number, and email address of the overseeing CFAD member.
