City Sketch Crawl – Discover Columbus one sketch at a time

New in 2014, the City Sketch Crawl invites sketchers – beginners or pros – to “Discover Columbus one sketch at a time.” Sketchers will gather at The Center, head out under the leadership of several prominent Columbus pleine aire artists, draw together for an afternoon on location, and return late in the afternoon to share results and refreshments. Sketchbooks will be provided, but drawing instruments, style, and view choice are up to the sketchers; images are a truthful record of what is seen. The exercise fosters appreciation of the urban environment, as well as camaraderie among sketchers. Resulting sketches celebrating the city will be exhibited at the Center and on the Center’s website.
